|
 The
Colorado Community Curator program began in 1997 with a roughed
out gallery area that had a rolling wall that was padlocked each
night for security. Phase II of The Dairy renovation finished in
2001 with the McMahon Gallery, In Focus Photo Hallway, Polly Addison
Exhibition Space and The MacMillan Family Lobby. Today, The Dairy
exhibits over 80 regional, national and international artists in
eighteen shows each year.
The
Dairy Galleries are growing in recognition throughout Boulder County
and nationally. The Colorado Community Curator committee is responsible
for reviewing over 100 applications and selects the group proposal,
artist or art organization to make up the exhibition schedule for
the following year. The volunteer committee is comprised of business
owners, artists, CU professors, art patrons, board members, executive
director and The Dairy curator.
