The Dairy is a multi-disciplinary art center at the heart of Boulder, Colorado. Each year we host over 200,000 visits by members of the public who come to view visual art, watch films in the Boedecker Theater our art-house cinema, and to attend live theater, dance and music performances, classes and lessons. All of this makes The Dairy is an excellent venue for the exhibition of visual art.
The Dairy boasts three large galleries: In-Focus Gallery, McMahon Gallery and the Polly Addison Exhibition Space in the MacMillan Family Lobby. Artists from the United States and from other countries may apply to exhibit in these spaces. Through the Colorado Community Curator Program (the CCC), non-artist Colorado residents may also propose an exhibition of work by an artist or artists from any part of the United States or abroad.
Following the close of this year’s Call, our jury will review applications to select approximately 20 artists or groups of artists to exhibit works in one of our galleries. The Dairy’s jury, the Visual Art Committee (the VAC) is comprised of current and retired artists, curators, collectors and faculty members from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
*We welcome audio and video exhibitions or exhibits with these components, however our Call on CaFE™ is not enabled for these mediums. If your proposed exhibit uses audio or video, please contact The Dairy’s Curator directly for further information. Please note that we are not equipped to exhibit art jewelry.
